Paid Survey Tips
The most important thing to remember when starting with Paid Surveys is to be patient. Like most things it takes time to start seeing rewards. Many people become disheartened and give up too easily, frustrated by the lack of market research assignments they receive from some companies. Please remember to be patient as it can take many months before you start to receive regular survey invitations from some of the companies listed here, some you might not even hear from for a month or more, but others can send out paid survey invitations a couple of times a week, don't let this discourage you.
Many of the paid surveys you'll receive will have what they call a screener. A screener is usually a short series of questions to see if you qualify for the survey. Most surveys are directed at a particular audience, this might be for instance, married females with one child living in Sydney or single males living in Queensland and so on. This is why they have a screener survey so they can target the right audience. A lot of people become annoyed with these screener surveys, because they never seem to qualify to complete the survey.
One of the ways to avoid receiving too many screener surveys that are not relevant to your current situation is to keep your profile or details up to date. Your profile is a usually a short questionnaire you fill out upon joining a survey company (not all survey companies have this, but most do), keeping this information up to date is very important if you want to receive assignments that you have chance of completing, and in most cases be rewarded for doing so. Bellow are some other important tips that you should keep in mind:
- Reply to the confirmation email sent after joining: This one is very important, after joining a new survey company online, you will receive a confirmation email, this is to confirm that you are the owner of the email address you have entered, and that you are able to receive their emails, it may also include your login details. If you do not receive this email, contact them!
- Join as many of these survey companies as you can, or feel comfortable with: The more survey sites you join will obviously increase your chances in receiving more surveys.
- Keep your email address up to date: many people change their email address and then forget to update it at the survey sites they have joined, then wonder why they don't get any survey invitations.
- As stated above, keep your profile up to date: Even if you think it's only a minor change.
Be patient: You will get paid survey invitations and get to complete some eventually.
Keep this in mind: You may not make a living from doing online paid surveys, but you will make something. Even if you are not in it for the money or prizes etc, and only want to voice you opinion, they can be fun and you could even donate your earnings or prizes to your favourite charity or good cause.
